Guys, I didn’t realize how hard it would be to get back in the swing of blogging! Eek! This time management stuff is killing me! If anyone has tips for how to balance family, working part-time from home, blogging, cleaning and cooking…..send them my way! Maybe I can do a post about that? Heavens knows I NEED it! Haha!
So, it’s been several months since you’ve heard from me. It only seems right to do a quick update on our family, because SO MUCH is changing! Here’s the run down, my friends…
In May, we found out that I was expecting baby #3…..say what?! It was 100% a shock and definitely took some getting used to. But, we quickly embraced becoming a family of five and are now very excited. I am due at the beginning of February and will be having ANOTHER boy. Apparently that’s what we know how to make around here. We think we’ve got a name picked out, but we’ll see if we stick with it or not.
Sam started Pre-K. Where the heck does the time go? How do I already have a four-year old?! He’s loving school most of the time and really is learning a lot. He’s still doing speech therapy (and probably will for several more years), but has graduated from occupational therapy. Yay for not spending hours at the therapy center!
Ezra is now almost 18 months and big as can be. He’s a chunky guy and so sweet. I have to admit, he is quite the drama queen, but he’s also so loving and cuddly. Is there anything better? He is also quite the chatter box! It’s so different from how Sam was and it’s really amazing to see this progress! I suspect that a lot of it has to do with the way we interact with our kids now that we have some more knowledge in the ways of speech development.
Jimmy is doing well! He is currently gone for work. Shocker, I know. Even though we hate being apart, he’s doing training to become an instructor, which is awesome for his career. Just a few more weeks left!
I mentioned at the beginning that I am now working part-time from home. I signed up as a makeup artist with MaskCara Beauty and it has been a game-changer for me. Yes, it’s hard work and does take up a bit of my time, but I love that I now have an outlet outside of my children and home. AND I love that I get to interact daily with amazing women both inside and outside of the company. Rather than focusing on just MaskCara, I’ve created a group called Womanhood Refined where we as women can support and encourage each other in all aspects of life to become better. I love it! I love this community of women and all the good that they do. If you’d like to join that group, CLICK HERE. We’d love to have you!
Well, ladies, that’s all I can think of. Haha, that’s all. Geez, I’m freaking pregnant! Pretty sure that’s an update all on it’s own! But you get what I’m saying. Life keeps going and we just have to keep up and try to keep it classy.
I’m so excited to be back and chatting regularly. If you’d like to know what’s going on in the mamahood, go follow my In The Mamahood Facebook page!
See you next week!
